One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
Another weekend of racing down but this time our camp didn't come out unscathed. We again only took two of the three cars to the track hoping to get clean weekends for both Bo and Amanda, after working out the bugs last weekend. Overall it was a semi-successful weekend even though it was EXTREMELY hot and humid, making wearing a fire suit miserable.
Bo's Weekend
Bo had a great showings on both Saturday & Sunday. On Saturday he made it down to three cars in his class (the semi-finals) and earned himself a little cash. However, Sunday didn't go quite as well and he lost a close one 3rd round, giving it back by 0.008. He was super frustrated with himself but knows he will try again next time.
Amanda's Weekend
The wagon's weekend wasn't as successful. After last weekend we decided to do a little maintenance to the car. We removed the mufflers to try and gain some horsepower along with changing the spark plugs in the hopes of being able to tell if the car is lean or fat. However, much to our surprise, the new spark plugs were giving us all sorts of problems, creating a miss in the engine. Therefore, Amanda was not able to race after first round on Saturday (even though she won). We will take it home, make some more spark plug changes and try again in a few weeks.
