4th of July FUN at the track!
Now that baseball tournaments are over for the year, Wesler Motorsports was able to get to the the track and test out two of the three new rides in their camp. The whole family traveled north to compete at the 4th of July Spectacular at Mid Michigan Motorplex. With not wanting to pull our hairs out having three new race cars out all at the same time, Marc decided to be the trusty mechanic for the weekend.
Bo's Weekend
Bo started out making some test and tune runs on Thursday, hoping to get all of the bugs work out before the actual races started on Friday. However, his car had other ideas. We first lost a clutch bolt, which allowed the clutch to wabble and damage it. Fortunately, another racing family had a spare clutch we could borrow. After lots of adjustment, Bo was able to make two successful runs. We thought Bo's car was ready for Friday.
Unfortunately we discovered a new problem Saturday morning. His car appeared to have an odd hesitation off the line. He ran it that way for the remainder of the weekend, earning 1 round win for the weekend. Bo is excited to try out the changes that we have made this coming weekend, July 13 & 14 at US 131 Motorsports Park.

Amanda's Weekend
After taking a year off from racing, Amanda was excited to get back to the track, running a much slower car. Over the years, Amanda has discovered that she is a much better at leaving off of the bottom bulb rather than the top.
We made only minor changes to the wagon over the winter to get it ready. So, when Amanda made her test & tune runs on Thursday we were excited that the car seemed to run fine. Over the weekend the car fluctuated some but really didn't have any issues with it.
However, now that we have run it, there are a few things we are going to look at and change over the remainder of the season. Overall, Amanda was VERY happy with the way things went and looks forward to racing again July 13 & 14 at US 131 Motorsports Park.
